I think that the writer made the book  perfect but the ending was the best part of the  book.I like how the in the end all the kids realised what they did.And how at first they thought that something like the Holocaust could never happen. And how Ben stops the wave by showing them how they have changed. The book makes you think and i recommend this to everyone.

One major theme in my novel that stuck out to me the most  is blind obedience.blind obedience is when you doing what you are told without thinking for yourself about whether or not you should do it.I choose blind obedience because it hade a big part in the wave and in the Holocaust. In the book thw wave blind obedience started when the first commaned was given to get more members for the wave. For the Holocaust the people did whatever Hitler whanted them to do.He made them to turn there back on the Jews and they did.

final post

My final thoughts and reaction to the end of the novel is that the end is the overall best part of the book. When Robert cried and Mr Ross took him out to bite to eat and like they talked about what happened to them over the time of school and the wave. I think that was a good ending and that a major theme of the book was up standers / bystanders. When kids get out of control somebody need to get the kids to calm down and control them to not let them get crazy or harm others.

My final thought on the project that it was pretty easy and I learned that you should never watch something get out of control do something about it before it does get out of control. Don't be a bystander be an upstander. From the blogging project i learned that you have to share ideas. This project is good for teenagers so that we can learn what deadlines are and also that you can have fun while doing a project not every thing in school is boring. Thank you contributors for all you have done and your time and effort.

post 2

(p97)The Grapevine " The Wave was just an excuse the hoods had used to start the fight. However, one of the hoods had called the boy a dirty Jew."

I think that the wave is becoming more and more like the Nazi party every chapter. Every school has fights most school has fights because someone did not agree with someone else . And I think little to none end with someone calling the other person a dirty jew.I think that them calling the person (the person that got beat up)a dirty Jew means someone different from them. And like the Nazis  you're with them or against them.

This connects to real-life and the Holocaust because groups of people had to go along with the Nazis, or get put down like everybody else Hitler did not like because they were different. You will have been beaten killed or put in jail that why most did what the Nazis  told them to do.And in the book The Wave that kid got beat up because he was different  The Wave. But instead of being beaten killed or put in the jail you will be an outcast and not part of the group.
